Reyhaneh Jabbari’s life changed forever when she stabbed her rapist in self-defense. She was arrested, charged with murder and sentenced to death. This film retraces the fate of this woman, who became a symbol of resistance. Her fight for women's rights echoes the struggle of so many women shedding lights on how Iran treats them.

She studied Audiovisual Media Arts at the KHM (Germany) and the EICTV (Cuba). Her short films have been screened at numerous renowned festivals such as the Berlinale. She has participated in Directing master classes and was a fellow at the Tarabya Cultural Academy. She was a core member of the 1000 Gestalten collective. Seven Winters in Tehran is her first feature documentary.
